This blog is for anyone who enjoys (or wants to learn how to enjoy) taking advantage of the great outdoors as a learning experience, stress-reliever, and all-around “happy place” for the whole family. My name is Becca and I claim Colorado as where I am “from” (as much as any military brat can claim to be “from” anywhere). I currently reside in Virginia with my husband, Derek, and our boys DJ (7 years old) and LJ (3.5 years old). I am a former high school science teacher turned freelance writer, which allows me to stay home with our boys. It was rough at first going from non-stop busy with teaching to taking care of my own little ones. Thankfully, with organizations like Hike it Baby and my own love for the outdoors, we got into our groove, found our niche, and boy have we all thrived! I don’t know where the next adventure will take us, but I’m excited to share the journey with you all, and maybe even give a little (and gain a lot) of inspiration along the way!
